From November 1 through November 30, I am going to write a 50,000 word novel with the help of National Novel Writing Month. My local chapter will also help me, although I’m not sure how. Ah, because I will check that website obsessively. And obsessive is how I get things done.
I’m posting on the advice of NaNoWriMo because it’s going to get tough on the second day. And by the second week, if I have announced it to the whole world (or to the many people, haha, reading this), the “only thing [that will keep me] from quitting is the fear of looking pathetic in front of all the people who’ve had to hear about” how I’m going to write a novel in November. So there you have it. Fear.
Thank you, Alice Petty. Your Facebook post made me do it. I had bookmarked the NaNoWriMo site, and the idea was running through my mind as one-of-those-things-that-I-really-don’t-have-time-or-space-to-do, but it’s so appealing, and then I saw your post yesterday, and now it’s done. I even have an idea.
All wishes of luck and fortitude are appreciated.
