Water Taxi

There’s no better way to get to work in the morning.

I sit on the very front of the boat, usually by myself, and look up.

It only costs two dollars!  This might be 35 East Wacker Drive.  I’m not sure.

That guy’s building.

The first of many bridges.

The air is brisk and briny and the water is absolutely opaque.

The Merchandise Mart.  Every time I see this colossal structure, I imagine the amount of labor which went into building it.

Starting to head around the bend.

One of the two Chicago newspapers.  In some ways slightly better than the Tribune; in other ways, just as awful.

333 West Wacker.  One of the “superstars” of the Chicago skyline.

And a closeup of those reflections.

I want to live on the top floor of the Civic Opera Building.  I’ll try and get a good picture of it from work one day.

Here, unfortunately is my stop.  I alight and regain my land legs on the steep concrete stairs.  In an empty industrial space behind the water taxi platform would be a great place to do some creepy site specific theatre.  Anyone?
